MONSTERS MAIDENS & MAYHEM cover pencils- And for any of you B-movie buffs out there, yes
this is a take on the poster-art from the 1954 movie "THEM!", but with a comic book twist. So here's the pencil version of the cover for my MONSTERS MAIDENS & MAYHEM sketchbook.
This
image seemed to have the best blend of Sci-Fi and "campy" fun to it. I
really enjoyed this one, even though it wasn't one of the easiest of
covers to draw( the fleeing background characters drove me nuts and took
longer than anything else to get right). On the flip-side, everything
else went super quickly, plus I got to draw up great retro hairstyles
and giant radioactive ants.
This one, along with a few of the interior pages, will be digitally painted for the final version. I hope you all enjoy this one as well.
